The National Allotment Society (NSALG) is the leading national organisation upholding the interests and rights of the allotment community across the UK. They work with government at national and local levels, other organisations and landlords to provide, promote and preserve allotments for all. They offer support, guidance and advice to their members and those with an interest in allotment gardening.
Bridport & District Gardening Club
There has been a Gardening Club in Bridport since at least the 1850s. They currently have over 700 members in Bridport and the surrounding district.
Bridport Community Orchard
The Community Orchard was established in 2008. It is a public green space, owned by West Dorset District Council, leased by Bridport Town Council, and managed in partnership with the Bridport Community Orchard Group (BCOG). The orchard is freely available for everyone to enjoy informally, and also for public events organised either by the orchard group, or other local groups, on application to BCOG.
